Time the Conqueror
Jackson Browne played McCaw hall last night, and Dawnise scored us awesome seats - Orchestra section, row "R".
He opened with Boulevard, and the final encore was The Load Out/Stay - I can't remember the order of the rest of the set list, but it included (in no particular order) most the tracks from the new album, and a good smattering of "old stuff":
Time the Conqueror (Time the Conqueror)
Off of Wonderland (Time the Conqueror)
The Drums of War (Time the Conqueror)
Going Down to Cuba (Time the Conqueror)
Giving the Heaven Away (Time the Conqueror)
Live Nude Cabaret (Time the Conqueror)
Just Say Yea (Time the Conqueror)
Far from the Arms of Hunger (Time the Conqueror)
Boulevard (Hold Out)
Fountain of Sorrow (Late for the Sky)
Lives in the Balance (Lives in the Balance)
Something Fine (Jackson Browne)
Doctor My Eyes (Jackson Browne)
The Barricades of Heaven (Looking East)
Culver Moon (Looking East)
The Pretender (The Pretender)
Running on Empty (Running on Empty)
I Am a Patriot (World in Motion)
The Load Out/Stay (Running on Empty)
And possibly one or two I'm missing...
Three hours of music - and as some rowdy in the audience shouted during a lull, they sounded "tight." The audience took it's feet for the last half hour, and a couple tracks in the middle (Lives in the Balance) got spontaneous standing ovations.
It was awesome.
I bought my parents tickets to see him when he's in Atlanta next month. I hope they enjoy it as much as we did.
