Fall Is In The Air, And Other Updates
It's cool and drizzly this morning - and last night, before nodding off, Dawnise and I were discussing the eventual coming of winter. I found I was looking forward to it with some anticipation - which is a switch from last year, when the coming of winter brought thoughts of commuting to work on the motorcycle in the cold, and treacherous trips in and out of the garage in our rear-wheel drive car. The leaves on the tree outside our bedroom window are getting color on their edges...
In other news, we had our second rodent-free inspection last week, so the exterminator called it "job probably done" and collected his bait boxes. He left the spring traps in the basement and instructions to call him if we have any "hits" in the near future. So now, though probably not this weekend, I get to don appropriate protective gear and liberally apply the shop vac to the basement. Yea rah rah.
On a more pleasant topic, last weekend Dawnise and I spent a pleasent Sunday afternoon on Bainbridge, eating Mora iced cream and visiting with Vince and Donna before joining up with the Bromleys for dinner at Molly Ward Garden followed by tea at their place before heading to a late-ish ferry home.
Finally, I'm waiting for confirmation that the cabinets are still on schedule, but in theory the kitchen project should get underway late this week.
