Riding Season is nearly upon us
It's weird to think about riding having a season. Last year, I rode year round - rain, shine, cold, whatever. Unless there was ice or snow on the ground, I was on the bike.
This year, having moved back to the mainland, and purchased a second car, I had the luxury of not riding once it got cold and wet, but the weather's turning and the population of motorcycles on the road is increasing daily.
We had brunch with some friends this morning, and on the way home stopped at Ride West BMW and tried on helmets. Both Dawnise and I are in need of new lids. I tried on the Shoei Multitech and RF-1k and the Arai Quantum and Profile. Both the Multitech and the Profile were good fits for me, and Dawnise was happy with the Multitech and Quantum.
So now we have to decide between the "traditional" full-face and the "modular" design. I like the idea of the modular (or "flip-face" as I tend to refer to them) for touring, but for some reason I'm not as keen to wear one on the sport bike.
