AWD is cool
It snowed last night - which is, of course, impossible as it doesn't snow in Seattle.
But it did.
It wasn't much, and when I got up to leave this morning, the roads around our house looked pretty clear, but I figured I'd err on the side of caution and take Oz rather than Anne.
Turned out to be a good choice...
By the time I got halfway in, the streets were fairly icy, and by the time I turned into the parking garage I had passed a handful of folks stuck in said ice.
The Subaru, with stock all-weather tires, did just fine - slipping once or twice, but quickly regaining traction and seeing me safely to my destination. Had I known how crappy the streets were on the way to Bellevue (or if I was still riding to work) I'd have probably (definitely) stayed home this morning, but thanks to the new car, it all worked out just fine.
