Kitchens Are Espensive, Mang
Read it with an accent. Really, it sorta worked.
We've mostly nailed down our appliances for the impending kitchen remodel - it's looking something like this:
- DCS 36" Gas Range
- GE Profile French Door Freezer-on-the-bottom Fridge
- Whirlpool Dishwasher (Whirlpool and Amana are the only manufacturers who've figured out that putting the flatware trays in the door is a good idea. Miele has done them one better with a dedicated flatware shelf, but they're more than double the price.)
- and another Advantium.
We're still up-in-the-air over vent hoods. The range is in an island (well, peninsula, if you want to be technical). We both liked the noise level and intelligent design of the Vent-A-Hood, but the price is pretty astronomical. Some of the Zephyr hoods have great styling, but are similarly costly.
We've seen a couple of attractive less costly options, but we'll need to hear them first hand before making a decision.
