Partying is Such Sweet Sorrow

Despite still not knowing for sure if we are moving*, we held a small get-together for our neighbors and a handful of island-side friends friends last night.

Nothing big, nothing fancy, but a chance to raise a glass with some of the best neighbors we could have hoped for when we moved to this side of the Sound.

Good people, a good neighborhood - we're sorry to leave them both behind.

* The close date on the contract is 1-Oct, which means if everything isn't tied up by Friday, it's not happening. I personally give it a 7 in 10 chance of closing successfully, which are the same odds I've been offering for the past several weeks. Dawnise and I are both way past tired of holding our breath on the move. so reaching closure this week - either way - is infinitely preferable to continuing in limbo.
