Let There Be Light

After about 50 hours in the dark, our neighborhood got power back around 7 this evening. The act of flipping a light switch and having the lights respond is most excellent. And the idea of hot showers in the morning... Sweeeet.

Huge thanks and respect to the PSE and cooperating crews out there, in the damn chilly, working round the clock to restore power. Your effort is greatly appreciated.

Good to hear you and Dawnise are fine. The Zero Boss took this pic that seems to sum up the situation well.

Heidi definitely appreciate the miracle of working lights (and AC) after we lost power in the worst of the heat last summer. Devin was only four months old at the time so we ended up getting a hotel for at least one of the nights. The irony? The reason our neighborhood went out was because they were pushing too much power to our neighborhood and instead of consuming it like good little users, we listened to their plea for turning off A/C and appliances which made the transformer blow. At least that's what the PG&E guys said when they replaced ours for the second time in 48 hours.
