Well That Was Easy (Mostly)

I took the Trophy to I-90 Motorsports for it's 36k service a couple weeks ago, and when I got it back they informed me that I needed front pads, which they didn't have in stock. (As an aside, living on the other side of the canyon from So Cal Triumph has me well and truly spoiled - finding parts for my bikes locally is a royal pain in the arse.)

Anyway, I consulted the application matrix hosted by Cyclegear and ordered the pads last week - they arrived today.

They were wrong.

Fortunately, I also ordered pads for the RS which, it turns out, are the same pads the Trophy takes, so I put them where they were needed most.

The job turned out to be simple - from start to finish in 20 minutes.

All that's left now is to exchange the wrong pads for the right pads and repeat the process on the RS.
Victory snatched from the jaws of defeat.

SoCal Triumph (and Victory, and Ducati) rocks - stopped by there while my Dad was in town last, and if we'd been forward-thinking enough to have helmets in the car, they'd have sent us out for a test ride on a couple of their Victorys (and not just a loop around the block, but a 30-min or so route they suggest into the canyon and back on the freeway). Precious few bike dealers around willing to do that - I know nothing about the mechanical reliability of Victory bikes, but the next time I'm in the market for a bike, at the very least I'll be going back in there to talk with those guys.
