New Glasses
Once I decided to punt (again) on Lasik, I started putting off getting new glasses. My prescription hasn't really changed in the last few years (which is why I'm a good candidate for Lasik), so I wasn't exactly in a rush, but one of the lenses in my current pair has gotten scratched to the point that I'm seeing the scratches, so it was clearly time.
This morning Dawnise and I went over to the optician who works with my eye doctor (with a stop at the crepe shop en-route) and chose new frames. I'm glad I only do this every couple years - even after the insurance picked up their bit I was in for $250. Polycarb, anti-reflective, photo-chromatic (I got 'em as an experiment on my current pair and found that they work great on the motorcycle) lenses and non-cheap frames all add up.
They should be here in a week and a half or so, and then I'll have to learn what I look like all over again.
