Amazing Weekend

Dawnise and I were down in So. Cal. last weekend for the Beltz' annual Halloween murder mystery party on Friday night. We had a great time, and saw a bunch of friends - old and new - who we don't get to see nearly often enough.

The costumes were incredible (is anyone who knows her surprised that Dru won best costume and best role-playing, and correctly concluded that I was the sociopathic killer?) and most folks seemed to have as much fun as we did.

Plenty of photographic evidence is available.

On Saturday Dawnise and I got to see my Aunt and Uncle for a while in the late morning - he looks good for a guy who had open heart surgery a couple weeks ago. We met my cousins' new daughter, and got to spend a couple hours just catching up.

That evening, Vince and Dawnise went to Halloween Haunt, as is their long standing tradition - and Donna and I attended a wine, chocolate, and jazz event in Crossroads park, which was very entertaining (some decent wine, at least one bit of very good chocolate, a good swing band, and good company).

Sunday we got going a bit late, had lunch with Vince and Donna, and hung out a bit before catching our 6pm flight home. I'll elide the gratuitous TSA misadventures for the moment as I want to remember the good times, not the federally funded secret police.
