There Goes the Neighborhood
I'm working from home today, and Dawnise is out at a hair appointment, so I had to answer the door when the doorbell rang a short while ago.
It took two years, but the gorram bible-thumpers found us.
I said thanks but no thanks, and only thought after closing the door that I should have pointed out that this was a private road and they were trespassing.

Penn (of ...and Teller) claims that the sure-fire fix for that is to open the door naked and eagerly invite them in - you only have to do it once. But maybe you have to be 6'6 and pushing 300 lbs to get on that particular blacklist. Which flavor did you get (i.e., the Jehovahs or the Mormons)?

They found us already...Saturday two women tried talking to me about god, in Spanish, at 9am. I'm actually pretty impressed with myself for being able to converse with them in Spanish long enough to tell them to go away. The only reason I answered the door was that the landlord was sending someone out that morning to fix our stove. Gah. Now I figure the landlord can just let people in.
