Neither of us were impressed - it was just more malls. Never did find breakfast.
Dawnise decided she wanted a hat like my Barmah - so we started a quest. Found two stores that carried the brand, neither had the specific hat she wanted. One store suggested we come back for the "Night Markets" that started at 4:30p.
We ate lunch at a reasonable Italian restaurant. Wandered down to the other end of the mall and bought a box of three Magnum's - "Chocolate Biscuit" flavor. Caught the shuttle back to the resort with plans to return for the night markets and dinner at an Indian restaurant we had spotted while walking around. Each ate one Magnum, and tossed the last into the room freezer for later.
Caught most of a footie (football to us) game on TV - much more engaging than American football. I might actually be a fan if I lived where it was played.
TV PSA: biker down from his POV - pan across the bike laid out in the road: "h..e..l..p me, please... some...body" - voice over "speed kills everyday people everyday." Would never see scare tactics like that in the states - but it was effective, gave me shivers.
Took the bus back into the CBD - found Nise a hat - not the exact one she was looking for, a better one.
The Night Markets were underwhelming.
In the transit mall the trees hosted so many chattering lorikeets (wild parrots) we had to shout to hear each other over their din.
Waited around for the Indian place to open at 6:30p. Dinner was quite good, but the kitchen was out of Paneer, a mild disappointment. Excelent Chicken Tandori - very tender and flavorful.
Took a taxi back to the resort, packed
our stuff, showered and slept.
